The candidate who intends to be a PMP certified he / she should satisfy the following pre-requisites to sit for the exam.
1. Any Diploma Holder having minimum 5 Years (non overlapping) Work Experience to direct the projects as a project Manager/project staff. Also should have 35 contact hours of formal education / training by a PMI recognized REP.
OR
2. Four Years of Degree or global Equivalent degree and having minimum 3 years (4500 hrs) of project direction experiences. Also should have 35 contact hours of formal education / training by a PMI recognized REP.
If you do not meet the PMP requirements, you may want to look at the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
